Altered Tattered and Time worn "Butterfly swap" page Three

Hi everyone.
This is Day three...posting a bit late but it has been a bit hectic here.
My inspiration today is from http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-june/
Tim Holtz....of course you know me I do my own thing with a idea....so here it is..
This is only Distress inks and Tim's Burlap and Bubble stencil..as you can see I set on my own path to begin with ..
I am minus many of the supplies needed to join in with his tutorial sadly but what I love is you add to your wish list that way..
Time being short today and the lack of dies I just fussy cut one layer. This stamp is a beautiful stamp from Stampers Anonymous out of the Tim Holtz collection . It is Butterfly's and Moth's..on my wood block stamp the item no is p2-1673.
I used my black uniball pen and then my white one on the out side of the Butterfly's and moth's I have a small circular sponge I used Distress inks
stormy sky
worn lipstick
shaded lilac
dusty concord
barn door
mustard seed
and
peeled paint.
I used a very old stamp to me one I purchased many years ago. (at the  right hand bottom corner), from Stampers Anonymous and I fail here because I do not remember the name of it...so I had to look it up. It is Tattoo corner p1-1424 here is a link to it http://stampersanonymous.com/cat-index.html
The sentiment is also a Stampers Anonymous stamp and it say's "when i want to see love defined i look at you" and the small wheat /flowers on bottom left is also from their store in clear cling mount.
I added a large ticket I cut from manilla folder and added some silk ribbon and a burlap flower I inked up.
and there you go. Page three. Thank you Tim Holtz and Marjie Kemper  for guiding me there through you post
Love and hugs

Altered Tattered and Timeworn "Butterfly" 6x6 swap Page 2

Hi everyone how are you? I am working through my to do list today and I wanted to show you page two of my "butterfly"6x6 page with yahoo groups Altered Tattered and Time worn.
My inspiration came from Aaron today with imperfectimpulses.I will give you a link and you can also find his blog through his videos.
I will show you a few photos of my process. well here we go ...Have a awesome day.
hugs
susan s

First this is Aarons link to the video that inspired me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMvJJQp20x0

Of course I modified to my point of view for the theme and the group.
MY acrylic job covered my papers. !!!OH SUSAN YOU FAILED RIGHT OFF THE BAT!
well to make up for that I used one of my favorite stamps from Stampers Anonymous http://stampersanonymous.com/
This little stamp is a Wendy Vecchi Stamp..happens to be one of my favorites
The item no on the stamp is D2-1435
I stamped in Distress Broken china by Ranger Ink,I could not go back so I went forward so there are not any unique paper showing under the acrylic because my acrylic was to thick so i used the stamp.
moving on...
I did use the credit card and my black soot dabber with acrylic ink on this page  and mu uniball white gel pen to out line the words and the card marks
The large and small butterfly are from Tim Holtz cling mount sets also available at Stampers Anonymous

Now I know everyone loves goodies on their pages so I had to figure out how to become a bit vintage on a journal page
so I used another one of my favorite stampers anonymous stamps to pull things together .
I made her out of a manilla folder and used several inks to color her
Lindys stamp Gang Starburst Hydrangea Blue, Perfect Pearls Mist forever violet, and Dylusions Funky fushia.
I wrote my feelings on a butterfly in my white uniball gel pen and glued my butterfly down with my tacky glue...I am liking that butterfly lined in with my black uniball pen and the outter layer lined with my white uniball pen and of course gave her antennas :)
That was not enought uummm I needed more.
Oh yes I loved Tim Holtz ideology spinner there ..well my little page is looking up but still I know how we love our goodies :)..
so....

Tim Holtz ideologies flower and lace? well it works for me today.
I added a ribbon and finished.
Thanks for stopping in

Altered Tattered and Torn 6x6 swap "BUTTERFLYS'

Welcome to my blog.
This is Day one of twelve making a Butterfly journal page swap with Altered Tattered and Torn group.
This page is inspired by France Papillon's new posthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrAmzoOZtU8&list=PLNQFSHyo8iCnLfQ4nT-it0CMjlVPIVGtU

Altered Tattered and Torn group was All Things Tim's so there is no confusion.

I have enclosed some photo's of how I made this page.
I cut my cereal box 6x6
and tore stips of paper gluing them on in a downward layer
I added gesso over them
and then a thin coat of beige acrylic paint
I sprayed with Ranger Perfect Pearls mist and let it dry
I used Walnut Distress and Mahogany Distress ink around the borders.
I tore thicker strips of paper for the middle and along the side and covered them heavily in the Perfect Perals Mist Forever violet
The stencil comes in a two pack from Ranger ink one is burlap and this one isBubble. I used My Distress Black soot dabber.
The die cut is a spare I had stashed back and honestly I am not sure which one it is..but as you can see I made a hole and used a brad to attach it in.
The photo wheel die cut I cut in 1/3 inked in my Ranger black archival ink and dried then added black diamond stickles.
I used my small little butterfly stamp and my wood mount moth stamp to make miniature tags.
I also used scraps from my images I cut out and save for the circle on the side.
You can see I stickled the die of the butterfly under the circled picture and the part of the photo wheel.
The circled image I used Tim Holtz tissue paper and sprayed again with the Perfect pearls mist forever violet. I rouched the edges and laid is on a clear  die cut by creative imaginations.
I trimmed the sides and added some burlap string to the miniature tags.
my letters came from making memories no 31616. I lined and black ink and added some glued lace to the bottom.
It is a bit of a different version than France Papillon's but she was my Monday inspiration ..
Well that is that and I shall include the photos now and I am off to find Tuesday Inspiration for page two of this swap.
I want each page to be different..I became tired of reputation this past year and reach with in my self to do the unusual.
Thanks for stopping in

Allywhitecat Mixed media Michaels Mason Jars...Alice in Wonderland

I love Alice In Wonderland ..and I am teaching a class at Michaels...yea!!!!!!
I am looking forward to this one.
Michaels
in Odessa Texas..
you can contact Nila at 432-362-7590 and put your name on the class list..I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!

This jar is a collage project so let me give you a tutorial on this fun project.

I chose to use "Alice Squared " collage sheet by Moonlight Journey http://moonlightjourney.com

So if you wish to make this project please purchase your download and print it and have it with you.

I first primed the jar with Golden Gel Medium.
You can use mod podge or gesso.

after the gel medium dries add a second coat and I used Ranger Inks, Tim Holtz  tissue paper..tearing strips gently to fit the jar.
cover with gel medium.

now it gets fun ...are you ready? This product is called Distress crackle paint. There are so many things you can do with this product. Even though my final photo will NOT show the crackles as it dries over night they will be there in the morning adding the finishing touch to my piece.
I have chosen worn lipstick, I like the way it blends with the Moonlight Journey digital images.
So I am going to cut one of the "Alice Squared " squares and begin with the first image.

After covering the jar with 2 coats of this fun product crackle paint..make sure they dry in between...
I am going to use the gel medium again like glue on the torn images to add dimention and a extra layer on the jar
see the sqare corners and the white showing from the tears..I like to tear all of the squares off i like it to look torn and I used my Inkssentials tool with worn lipstick Distress ink to hide the white.
again, use the gel medium to adhere the strips on to the jar and add another coat of Distress crackle paint only covering the borders not the entire images space the four strips evenly around the jar.

Time to cut another square. which again I tear to fit the jar and cover the borders with Distress ink.
and the third
I also stamped some butterflies to fill in space . This stamp is from Stampers Anonymous by Wendy Vecchi.
I also cut a large butterfly from my stash of images. I am sorry I do not remember from whence it came :)
Now I covered the entire jar and everything on it with the gel medium. When it completely dried I put a thick thick layer of Mod Podge over everything on the jar. It will take a while to dry be patient if you use a heat gun it can bubble.

as you can see it puffs up. When it dries enough to use your finger to gentle run over the lifted areas until everything is mashed down.
Even when everything dries you will have puffed areas I used a punch to add flowers in these trouble spots.
Now comes the trim. I found a beautiful store with lovely lovely products on Ebay and I saw two items and purchased them. They came so beautifully packaged I was so touched by the time the store owner Nancy Barber took for her items..so please let me share this fabulous store with you
http://linensandlaurel.com

I added the lace roses and trim to the punched flowers and rim of the lid.
Do you like the keys? Michaels has great selections of accessories to add to your items this was from their sales corner both of them.
Now for the lid..the miniture tea pot set is from www.alphastamps.com
The larger flowers are from my stash I think but I am not for sure they are Recollection flowers from Michaels.
Now for the final square...
I chose to make a card to go with the jar so I have a gift set. I will later punch small holes in the open spaces of the lid and add potpouri so of course the final square and the accessory pieces left on the collage sheet went for the card
The pink stripes came from washi tape.. and again you can see I used Nancy's beautiful lace.

THANK YOU for stopping in. I would love your comments teaching is new to me..
Have a marvelous weekend.
